Lightbulb Update...happy Thursday!!

My friends,

First, I want to thank all of you who suggested staying off of the scale...it helped!!

I am 4 weeks and 2 days out and I am now down 32 pounds since my surgery. All in all...I have lost 42 pounds!!! I am so grateful for this surgery. I am feeling better as each day passes and even my "head" is starting to heal.

I want to encourage all of you pre-ops and new post-ops...this surgery is an amazing tool!! I thank God for it!

Thumbs up I'm so happy for you, Karen!

Another early riser like me I'm so happy that you're feeling better - both about the weight loss and about the emotional stuff. I've had a few moments in the last week that remind me of what you talked about - just ticked off that I can't have what I want! Well, that's part of what got me into this mess, isn't it?

I too had to banish the scale - it was haunting me. My weigh and measure date is Saturday, so hopefully I'll have some good news to report in a few days.

Congratulations to you on your weight loss!

Default band

I was given a big wide elastic band to wear around my waist over my stitches. Did not everybody get one?

Default Abdominal Binder

The big elastic band is for your comfort. Some people wear them longer than others. I wore it for about a week. It does help give your abdominal muscles some support while they are healing.

Ohhhhh...I always called it a binder. Sorry about the misunderstanding Anyway, you wear it as long as you feel you need it. I only wore mine about a week, however, I know others that have worn it for 3-4 weeks.
