Default I Got Approved!!!

Well Wednesday was my first meeting with the actual surgeon, and before I met with him I was getting checked out by his assistant. I asked her if they had sent my stuff off to the insurance company yet for approval and she looked at my chart and it had in big red letters approved on it. So she said all calmly yes it looks like you were approved. Well I hadn't heard anything about it so I made her check with someone else to make sure that is what that meant and she came back a few minutes later and said that yes in fact my insurance has approved the operation! I was so excited but at the same time a little miffed that they never bothered to call me or anything about it, I don't even know when or how long they knew.. but anyway that doesn't really matter I guess. So we set up a tentative operation date for Octoboer 2nd, the reason that is so far out is because I am switching plans with my insurance company to their higher plan where it is 90/10 and I want to make sure that is in effect prior to the surgery bur I just wanted to share my good news.
The doctor said he was a little worried since he asked me what kind of an eater I am. whether I eat when I am hungry or out of boredom, and I said a lot of it was because of boredom. He went on to say how alot of the times the surgery doesn't work well with those types of people cause while your stomach is smaller it won't cure your boredom and you will need to do something to fill that void, preferably excercise, which does make sense but it has me a little worried. He also said I had to make sure I didn't gain any weight from now till October, which also has me a little anxious.. but we will see how that goes..
Anyways.. I guess it is FINALLY going to happen

Big congrats Mindy. This is great news. Now when you change your insurance that won't affect your approval will it? I think October is a great month to join the losing side. As far as the weight goes take it one day at a time.

Thanks everyone.. well I am not really "changing" insurances.. my company is just upgrading to where you opt for a higher grade, you pay more a month and they cover more ect. so I don't think it should be an issue.. I hope. Mindy
