I have lots less muscle mass now. I was wondering if you know any post op patients in their 60s who have done well? Do they lose weight slower?

Thanks for helping
Hi Tricia,
Welcome to the board, first of all

Just a note, I lost my first 100 pounds in 5 months exactly, the whole 213 I've lost, I did in 21 months.... I don't think age has a thing to do with it at all... I think it's just how well you stick to the rules!!
Good luck!!!

Thanks for the welcome. The folks who weight control is a bit of a struggle instead of a major life struggle just don't understand. I'm so weary of everything being my fault because I don't just drop the weight!
I need to have both knee joints replaces ASAP but I know I have to love a significant amount of weight first for decent odds. Theis seems like a tool that will helpt me get past that initial chunk of loss to be able to do the rest.
Sandi, thank you for a relative age/weight scenario. I like your analogy to a roller coaster ride! I hope I can lose even 1/2 that fast!

Tricia3, scared but hopeful
