Most people are usually told 60 as the bare, bare minimum. You'll do better, feel better if you go to 80 -85 at least.

Thinking about that volume of food makes me nauseous, too. I've been getting icky-feeling when I eat denser foods like meats, and today with peanut butter.

My surgeon told me the nausea is a normal side effect that can last up to six months in VSG patients. Fun!

I find that the diets recommended are often not truly sleeve specific but a modified or not version of a dit for RNY or even lapband. There is no way you should drink with or close to meals. Drinking serves to help get more food throuh your pouch. That is not your goal!! There are some good VSG diet related links that are posted in this forum-I think one is from Johns Hopkins.
