Default VSG- 5 Months Post-op & Still The Best Decision I Ever Made

Here I am just over 5 months post-op and I am still so completely happy with my sleeve, it has changed my life! I am so much better mentally and of course physically, due to over 70 pounds loss since surgery! I am so thankful that this surgery option was available for me. It is a learning process every day, and weight loss is still a struggle, but with this tool, it is for sure much easier!

Default I agree

Hi AeroBear,
I agree, it is the best health decision I have ever made. I can not believe how good I feel from the weight loss. Not only body wise but mentally too. I have a better outlook on life and don't think I had a bad one before lol. Now when I rise in the morning, it is far more pain free, I have really bad knees, bone on bone on the inner compartment due to arthritis and was almost to the point that I needed to be in wheelchair a good portion of the day just to get around. I am able to walk a lot more, climb stairs and of course do not get as tired as quickly, and this is just my knees. For my back, it is far more at ease these days too. I wonder how in the world did I mange to get through each day with that much extra weight (and still quite a bit to go), but I did and now that 87 pounds are gone forever. I close my eyes and thank god for the opportunity, ability, strength, determination and family support that I needed to submit myself to an extreme measure for weight loss. I have been able to reverse diabetes, sleep apnea and will soon be off hypertension medication whats more exciting then that lol! I wish you the best on your journey as well to a healthier you!

Take care,
Renee'

Default 86 lbs! Wonderful!

Wow! Cant wait till Im there. You are a little over two months senior to me with your procedure date. When Im 86 lbs down, I will have nothing to wear!
Not one thing.

Great to hear from you Renee. I love to go Spokane. Lovely city. Usually we stay at the Davenport Hotel when there. In fact, the last time there, we drove over to Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and I flew a seaplane (Cessna 206 on floats) off the lake and around the entire perimeter. Landed at sunset. Stunningly beautiful topography. Fun stuff.

We travel from Texas to see a remarkable internist, Dr. Bradley Bale, who operates a preventative medicine clinic called "Heart Attack Prevention Clinic." Its really a one-of-a-kind clinic, since so little medicine is focused on prevention. (It seems treatment of ailments is more profitable than prevention.) My wife, "Bones", is a physician also and knows his work well. Brad has a worldwide following that includes a lot of doctors! We go about every two years to see Brad, get a "tune up and oil change" and enjoy Spokane and its environs.

Cheers

Lake CDA is very beautiful. I have never had the pleasure of flying over it (lucky you) but I have been on a few cruises and it is breath taking scenery. One of my goals is to go parasailing on lake CDA with my weight loss.. come on summer! lol! The next time you and bones come to the area, I and my hubby would love to meet up with the two of you and we could do the cruise thing and dinner over there..let me know, sounds like a wonderful time! Glad to hear you are doing well too. I also love the Davenport Hotel, talk about breath taking, it is my favorite hotel in the whole area. I grew up here and was so glad that Walt Worthy restored it and reopened it. Going there takes me back in time and thankful I get to see such beautiful artistry. Chat soon!

I have found my weight loss to be so easy with my sleeve. I simply can't eat that much, so sticking to my diet plan is not hard at all.

I also discovered every word I have posted on this site, quoted in its entirety, on a forum that had absolutely nothing to do with weight loss.
