10 days post op and finally hungry
I don't want to be hungry. Is this normal at this stage? I haven't been hungry until last night. My family was eating ice cream and it was all I could do to not eat it. I drank my water instead. Woohoo! Tastes just the same. NOT!!!!! I seem to be getting crabbier with my husband too. He was drinking some hot chocolate this morning and he couldn't seem to just drink it, he had to slurp it. Things like this haven't seemed to bother me in the past, but I tell you what I could have poured it over his head. I had to leave the room. I don't want to be a "B" but it just seems to overcome me. ANyone else gone through this?

I'm still pre-op so I don't have experience to share with you, but I did want to say that I can't imagine not feeling rather B%@&y watching other people enjoy things I can't have. I have to think it gets better with time and the ability to eat actual food again. Hang in there!

Yes, it's normal to be hungry at that stage. There is nothing that would prevent you from being hungry.
Can you have some sugar free hot chocolate while your husband is having his?

I can`t help you with the hunger issue because I`m almost 5 weeks post-op and have never felt hungry. I make it a point to eat at least 3x a day though to get all the nutrients etc in. My advice with the chocolate drink is that you can get sugar-free dark chocolate which tastes delicious with semi-skimmed milk. I also find greek style yoghurt and honey helpful. It helps keep me from the noughties.
I hope the hunger spell passes soon for you.

I am 12 days out and having the SAME issues. I don't want to feel hungry.I obviously am not as hungry as before butwould like to feel more restriction like the first couple days out from surgery. I want a fill already, but can't for another 4 weeks. I hear it is normal and the band isn't truly working until you have a fill, and any weight you lose before your first fill is a bonus.
