I rarely have soup anymore as even a hearty soup slides through faster than a solid.

and therein lies the problem: sliders move through comfortably and easily. Unless you are able to deny yourself responding to feeling hunger, sliders do not leave you feeling full and thus allow one to eat more. no, no, no...

Default sushi is awesome

I am 8 weeks post LB and can tolerate everything. I only had sushi get stuck one time and that was because it was cold after sitting in my fridge for a few days and I hate it too fast. At least for me, as long as I chew well and take my time, I can eat anything.

I find soup fills my small pouch up way too fast so i don't eat it much especially cream soups. they make me feel like I am full up to my mouth.

So....soups fill you up quickly so you would opt for eatng things that allow you to take in more? Is that what you want?

I wouldn't be eating sushi 8 wks post op my RNY. Then again, I followed my surgeon's rules for a very long time there.

Glad you can tolerate "everything".

Default explain

Soup just seems to fill me up way too fast, I feel sick and then I am hungrier much quicker. I would rather eat a small portion of something solid. It stays with me longer.

Just a note...we made a 3 bean soup this weekend (very high protein/not much broth). I ate the little bit of broth first (so it would slide through) and then the solids and it kept me satisfied a long time like any other solid protein.
