Cool Tell me about the P-factor...

All you banders out there...I wanna hear about the post-op pain.

I just need to have it in my head so I can mentally prepare for it. I'm not too scared because I've had 2 c-sections and it seems like that has to be harder and more invasive, right? I've always thought of myself as a big ol' baby but even the pain from those weren't bad and I never did use my prescribed vicodin, just the 800 ibuprofen.

Thanks!

I wasn't in any pain after the lapband except for the 5 or 6 hours after surgery. Went home the next morning no problems. Had a lot of discomfort in my shoulders with the gas coming out, but that's it.

Talking 2 weeks out

The pain is totally manageable. The only one that bothered me was the big incision through the belly button. C-Section pain is a lot worse. They give you liquid pain killer. I was feeling pretty good after 2 days. The only problem I had was with the gas they use during surgery. It wouldn't go away. Buy Gas-x just in case. I went back to work after 5 days. the selling is still there after 2 weeks, but Ihear that takes a month to go away.
Also, drink losts of fluids. I got dehydrated and had to go to ER. They make you paranoid about "sipping" drinks slowly, but just take normal sips. You are fine.
