Default Does anyone loose as slow as me????

I was banded on 3/31 and have only lost 22 pounds. I seem to lose 2-3 pounds after a fill and then if I am lucky I will loose another 2 or so pounds around PMS. The rest of the month I just fight with the 2-3 pound loss.

I have upped the walking, eating right etc. It is just like my body is fighting with me for every pound lost....

I dont know crap about crap as far as the band is concerned but I am sure some of our seasoned banders will weigh in with great advice for you.

Good luck and glad to see you posting Cathlena.

ok.. well.. first... we're gonna need more info then that. Like how much you are eating, what kind of things you are eating, etc... And, I'll warn you ahead of time, if you come back here and say you just ate at McDonalds or something, you are gonna get crap for it.. LOL

BUT... 22 pounds since March-ish? That's not too bad considering you have less then 100 pounds to lose... thats almost 1/3 of the weight you want to lose.

And well she should, too!

Yeah, from what I understand.. with the band, you ARE going to have to learn to be PATIENT.. it is a very slow process and you cannot compare your losses with those of us with RNY or the Sleeve.. you just can't and you'll be setting yourself up for a lot of frustration if you do.

So, what types of foods are you eating, how well do you feel you're following the plan set forth by your surgeon & their nut? How much exercise do you get each week?

22 lbs down is still 22 lbs down... just keep plugging away!

Well from what my doctor said I should lose each week your on the slow end but still on track since he said 1-2lbs a week. Now to me that is slow but I also hit the gym hard so that sped up my weight loss so maybe with you upping your walking you will see more results. Now make sure your eating the right stuff and enough also getting in all the protein and vitamins they want you to take in since my doctor said that could slow down weight loss.
Good luck!
