Default Who misses.....

Drinking liquid while eating? This is driving me crazy! I am eating a salisbury steak (very slowly) right now, and eyeing the glass of ice cold raspberry crystal light over on the counter.......

I never drank much with my meals either....but now...!!! LOL I die for drink at meal time...I don't do it...but would love it. I actually count time to be able to drink again. Of course by then I'm not thirsty again. I think if it would have never been mentioned i would have never noticed

I miss it too. I use to drink a LOT with my meals, so it was a big change for me.

I do!

Without drinking, it's impossible for me to get meat down. It just sticks like a brick. Doesn't matter what meat or how it's prepared, it all has the same effect.

Well, I am still pre-op, but this is one of my concerns as it is hard to imagine eating and not drinking something. I am sure it takes some getting used to. I am trying to train myself now, but got to admit it hasn't been easy sometimes I just forget and reach for my drink and then I think oops. I think I might get a timer or something because it is hard for me to gauge how long thirty minutes is following my meals so I can drink something or is it supposed to be an hour.

I don't keep a drink near me while I eat, otherwise I would forget and drink before I think about it. And I usually watch the clock after meals until it's time to drink again. You'd think I'd be used to it after seven months, and I guess I kind of am, but I still miss it.

I used to be someone who would consume 32oz+ at most meals and I can say honestly that it really doesn't bother me now. I can't drink my favorite beverages anymore and that may have something to do with it.
