Default Got my staples out today

Instead of sutures, I was stapled because I am allergic to Vicryl - a very common suture material.

Anyway -- all is well. I've lost 19 lbs. Am back up to 4 miles walking per day. I have to say that I attribute my ease with this surgery to my walking program. I didn't miss a beat, even the day after surgery. No fatigue and no loss in strength. So, anyone contemplating WLS should really try months ahead to hit the bricks and get in "walking shape".

And -- I can't believe how much more energy I have now out walking with just this beginning weight loss.

My bp has plummeted, and one more benefit .... the ankle swelling I've had for a couple of years has GREATLY diminished, in fact it is almost gone. WOW

Great job! And you do know that those 19 pounds are lost FOREVER! Yipiee!

Can't remember...when did you have surgery?

I'm only 1 week out and feel really good. I attribute it to being able to get in ALL of my protein/liquids and walking too! But have to admit...some times I need an afternoon nap just to recharge my batteries.
