Default May I just say...

that was the worst pain i've ever been in! In my life and i have 3 kids! OMG I'm sorry i know it was the best thing ever for me but woosh..... i had NO idea the recovery. I had surgery on Tuesday and couldnt leave hospital till Friday afternoon. I was vomiting way too much and today is Sunday and i feel like i'm a walking zombie. Dizzy, listless and just weird feeling. Wow i'm sorry i underestimated the recovery time i thought i'd be up and adam in no time. and when my doc says that my full time job would be to get 64 oz of fluid in, he was totally right, its hard any tips? But thank you for your thoughts with me that really meant alot

It'll improve day by day. Everyday it gets a little easier. Hang in there. Welcome to the losers bench!

Its a rough go after the surgery..its major. Don't be too hard on yourself, take things easy and try to get in what you can. It does get easier..but don't push it!!

Just sip, sip, sip, and sip again. Take it slow. Don't try to drink it real cold- it hurts your tummy and diaphragm. sip. sip. sip. sip.

What they said....it does get better, but it sucks for awhile. I was shocked also! I thought I'd be back to work in a week, and ended up being off 2.5 months! Of course there were complications, but still, I wasn't quite prepared for the majorness of it all. That said, I'm sure glad I had it done. I feel great now....and wear my Levi's well.

I was at the begining of the month. Yes it is a lot of pain. I ended up with 5 surgeries in 2 weeks but I am almost 20 days out and it gets better everyday even if I still have to sleep on the couch.'

Deborah,
it is so hard at the beginning, I had quite few problems, and could again "function" normally only after about 9 weeks, I started work only 7 weeks after the surgery.
Now after 3 months, things are so much better, and enjoying eating and drinking more than the beginning.
Hold on, sip water the whole day, and stay strong.
Take care
