Default how do rashes get worse?

Hi everyone,

Ok, I'll accept that this question is weird...but, I have rashes from my skin folds. The problems is the doctor does not think they are "too bad". But they hurt and burn and make movement very difficult.

So even though he thinks I'll OK, I'm in pain. So what I want to know is how to make a rash worse. Yes worse! I'm going back for follow-up in a week and I don't know what I'll do if the Doc says they are not "too bad"

I have to use oitments ect., to make the rashes at bay. But it doesn't really help.

HELP!!

sounds like you don't have a very compassionate doctor! Rashes need to be documented so that you can qualify for plastic surgery ---if you want to do that some day!

I don't know how to make them worse... other than not putting any ointments on them!

Good Luck... let us know how it turns out when your dr.....

katie

PS: If you are thinking about plastic surgery - take pictures of the rashes to help document your case....

I have a rash under my panni probablly once every week or two and I have to use Neosporin on it and I blowdry under it EVERY time I take a shower to make sure that there is no moisture. Is that not gross? It's horrible to have to do this just to not have burn like rashes under it, but I have to so I don't hurt. They can get extremely horrible in a matter of a day if I do not take fast action. I also get it around my bellybutton where the skin folds together since losing so much weight. The only way I can describe them are like burns. If you do absolutely nothing, they WILL get worse. I could not even been to imagine scratching them because they form blisters! Just don't do anything to stop it...... I think your PCP needs an attitude adjustment. Ask him how HE would like living with it!

Hi I used to get rashes bad before I had surgery. I fortunately didn't end up with a huge amount of skin. If I do anything surgically it will be for vanity reasons at this point. Rashes are yeast infections on the outside of your body.. and moisture makes them worse.. including ointments. There is a product used for jock itch.. I'm no jock lol it's powder can buy it at Sav less or pay more. (Sav on or Pay less) One of those two stores. I can't think of the name of it.. I can next time I go to the store I'll look. But I know you probably want it yesterday. It kind of looks like a baby powder bottle. It worked in less than a day to make the redness and itch go away.
I would use it two to three times a day, and again make sure you keep the area dry if you perspire.
