Any tid bits anyone wants to share about the begining of their band journey I would love to hear it ...I am glad I found you all.

Congratulations! The side pain will last a couple weeks; they you'll be able to lie on your side and stomach. You'll get a little hungrier; that I guess is why we get the fills. I have a large band and have had two fills now - total of 5.5. I think I finally hit the "green zone." I felt like I was eating a little too much; now I am just in that spot where I get full with small portions (yeah!). Good luck to you! It's a great, great tool, and the best news is that you'll never be on another "diet" - now it's a lifestyle!

Congratulations on doing so well! I am a proud band owner and I have never had a day of regret. Over the next weeks you'll be getting use to the band. Keep up with the protein and the vitamin supplements. Understand that head hunger will pop up from time to time and as you get closer to your first fill. You will have some hunger--just keep up with your exercise and new way of eating and think ahead of how you will handle hunger until you get to your sweet spot.

Remember that the band is a tool and it must be worked--it won't do it for you. This is something that I have been stubbornly resisting and I am working on it. Getting the support you need from places like this will make all the difference in the world to your success and I am glad I recently found TT and joined up.

Hooray for you and welcome to the delightful world of the band!
