Question a little worried

Hi all,
this is my second week after surgery, I really don't know what I was expecting, maybe I would wake up skinny! I went for my 1 week check up and I have lost 15 lbs but a big part of that was the crazy 2 week clear liquid diet before surgery 10 lbs I have been told that the wait will just fall off. I only eat 4 oz 3 times a day well drink 4oz 3 times a day still on liquids at this point. Start mash potatoes and eggs next week. I am returning to work Monday, not sure how that will go I still have quite a bit of pain. My question is how long before the weight starts "falling off"? I have been walking on my treadmill at this point about 15 min a day. I finally can sleep better even on my tummy!

Whoa! Says there you had surgery 9 days ago...Maybe give yourself another while to get over having your body opened up (albeit telescopically) and your insides re-arranged, before worrying about weight loss?

My doc likes the weight to come off steady and slow.

But looking at your stats., you went in as a lightweight and that added to your pre-surgery loss indicates that you probably won't see any huge drops.

My surgery weight was 224lb (I lost 35lb before surgery). My loss the first two weeks was 8lb. The second two weeks it was 9lb. That's 17lb in a month.

Follow the guidelines and the weight loss will take care of itself....hugs!

Sounds like you are right on track. It takes a while for your head to catch up with the rest of you. If you are getting in your 4oz - pat yourself on the back!!!
