I experienced the pain from the trapped wind, also the pain from laughing to much at others, but its nothing compared to that bit of food you never chewed, I chew it all now and it takes me an age to even finsh soup so I am a part of the meal as well as trying to eat properly, its a real education, try varying the way you eat, or walk before and after, dont drink to much at a time and never after the meal

Actually it sounds just like my symptoms but I'm not lap band. I would get to your Doc and get on an acid medication (Nexium, prilosec OTC,) something on those lines. J

When I drink my shakes, my stomach swells and bloats and hurts so bad I have to lie down for at least an hour.

Is this normal? And, if so, how long will these sensations last? Anyone know if I ccan use Pepsid or some other antacid besides Tums. (The Tums help but I need to chew them like candy.)

Default Pain is definately yucky....

Not a Lap-band person myself but I've heard from others they felt this way. It took a few weeks but it passed.

To be safe however call the doctor... they will know if it's "normal" or soething to be worried about.

Check back in let us know what they say!
