Default Very Concered, please help- pain on right front side

For the past 2 days i have been having pain/tenderness on my right/front side. When my surgery was done, I had 2 tubes. One drainage tube on my right side which came out the next day and then what is called a g tube (feeding tube) on my left side which was with me almost 5 weeks.
This pain is right near where the initial drainage tube was and I am 8 weeks post op.
It feels swollen almost, very tender and a fullness feeling.
I am terified that I ripped a staple, tore my pouch or stretched my pouch.

I do have a large gallstone that my surgeon was not able to remove during WLS.

I also tried coconut shrimp this weekend and wonder if this would cause this problem.

I am trying not to panic but fear my whole operation will have to be redone.

Does anyone know what this possibly could be?

Well Sandy when in doubt get it checked out. Don't play the guessing game when it comes down to a major surgery you just had. To be on the same safe and give your self a piece of mind have your surgeon check it. How many months are you post-op?

Sandy, I am definitely not familiar with the right side pain you described but, you need to call your doctor especially if it's been 2 days now and the pain hasn't subsided. let us know if you are ok. Denise

I can tell you two things.

1. I had severe side pain about a month after surgery. I was diagnosed in the emergency room with a kidney stone.

2. I was told by a nutritionist not to eat coconut at all. The stringiness is problematic apparently.

Mine was on the left. But since you have two kidneys, one on each side, kidney stones can appear on either side.

The past week I have been having pain in the right side and am concerned I may have developed another stone.

Thank you Steven, I just spoke with my surgeon and was told since I do not have a fever and the pain is more like a tenderness just to keep an eye on it as it could for me just be ovaries but possibly developing kidney stones and to watch the severity of it.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope you have not developed another stone. xoxoxooxoxo

Hi, is your pain like, right up by your ribs? Or closer to your hip bone? Just currious.

Please keep us updated!
