Default PMS big time!

Well I'm seriouly PMS'ing and I've noticed a pattern month after month since my surgery- I want to eat all day. I'm trying SO hard not to but I feel hungry no matter how much water I drink. It seems to happen every month for 2-3 days. I've wanted to snack all day so I made a 100 cal bag of popcorn this afternoon and have 'nursed' it - a bite here and a bite there. I've probably not even had 1 cup total today (3 cups = 100 cal) but the sugar craving just hit so I had a sugar free Kozy shack pudding (90 cal). It's almost dinner time and my calories are only around 600 total and I'm having chicken and salad for dinner but I just want JUNK FOOD!

I know how you feel!!! I wasn't even PMSing Sunday, and I was on a carb kick and couldn't get enough!! Looking back though, I had 1 100 calorie pack of the chex mix, and made 2 bags of the 100 cal pack popcorn that hubby and I shared...but geez I felt guilty

Denise I get that way at times. Maybe around your time of the month maybe you need to up your protein. Honestly I don't see anything wrong with maybe buying some SF hard candies or some jolly ranchers to help kill the sweet tooth.

See now that would make sense- much better than the 5 hershey kisses I've had over the course of the day.......

Denise,
Fresh fruit might help quell the cravings.

I think I can relate. Every once in awhile I seem to just snack out of control. I spend a day or two mentally panicking......you know, the old, I'm gonna gain it back, I'm gonna fail, etc. Then I seem to get my motivation back and forge ahead. I told my doc today I think it is my cycle, but I had a hysterectomy, so I can't tell by the normal method. The doc says since I still have the ovaries that is probably for sure. So, she says to start documenting those times and see if there is a pattern. But oh the panic of it. YIKES!

I found something to do the trick when I get that snack attack- Frosted Mini Wheats - dry. They have crunch, yup some sugar (I'm not eating 1/2 a box, just a few pieces) and they are loaded with fiber! I wonder if there's any protein in them- I'll have to check the box....

Hey, those kisses have protein!!! LOL!
I COMPLETELY sympathize with you - the week before my period, I want to graze constantly! It's really, really hard. I can't believe how much I can put in my mouth during that time.
