Default Tail bone

I'm happy to have lost 90lbs but I am having a
slight problem.

Seems I have lost most of my butt and now every chair I sit in, feels like I'm sitting on my tailbone. I can not seem to get comfortable.

Oh yeah! I have the same problem. Kelly, the nurse practitioner warned me to expect it. She recommends butt exercises to build up the gluteus maximus so you're sitting on muscle instead of bone.

Nancy:
Kelly told me about that too - and pre-op, I was thrilled with just the prospect of an aching tailbone because of weight loss!

BBD: Maybe once your muscle catches up with your weight loss, it won't be so bad????

Even though I still have alot of butt left there are some areas that are really sensitive after sitting for a couple of minutes. You might have to resort to buying a nice little pillow until you get the Gluteus in order.

I'm glad all I need is a butt workout

I was thinking I was growing a monkey's tail

After a few years, you adjust to it and you don't particularly notice it...but I do work out my glutes a lot too!

Oh thank god- I thought I was the only one having this problem. I spent all day (when I'm sitting) shifting from one cheek to the other because it just HURTS! People who haven't had surgery (and some who have) laugh at me when I tell them I feel like I lost my padding and my backside hurts - they think I'm nuts!

what a laugh! I noticed the same problem about a month ago, and have since learned to always look for cushioned seat where ever I go. Hey! I NEVER thought I would have this problem and believe me I WELCOME it!

I've noticed my husband has lost weight in his butt. I thought it was cute before, but now...oh baby! He is still doing great. It has been wonderful to read ya'all's postings. It has given us a lot of answers to questions and tips for new foods to try. His doctor just told him yesterday to start eating solids. We went to the store today and were able to find a few things that were low fat low carbs. He found some turkey pepperoni. Spicy, but we will see if he can tolerate it. It is just a game of trial and error, huh? He is still very uncomfortable and complains of stomach pain, but he is only three weeks out of surgery. Any tips for us would be much appreciated. Ya'all are awesome and it is so wonderful to see the success you are having. I told my husband today that when he reaches the 200's, we would get a kitten. He has been wanting one ever since we got married in Jan '05. I am not particularly fond of cats and kept saying no. He is doing great, so I am going to have to become a "cat person" in a few months, I suspect.
