Default What a difference in a year...

So... last year for my best friends birthday, we went out to dinner and then to this little bar in Temecula. We had a really good time! However, I sat at the table the entire night and watched the purses while everyone else danced. I was so miserable that night. I felt so badly about myself. I didn't want to move, I wanted to be invisable. It really was one of my more defining moments. So.... last night.... a year later. We go out again for Carols birthday. We went to Pechanga and gambled a little and ate dinner, had a cocktail. The we went to the same little bar. This time, you couldn't keep me off the dance floor! I didn't sit down but maybe 10 minutes the entire night. I had so much fun! I danced with anyone and everyone and didn't care who was looking! This time, it was a defining moment, in a wonderful way. I really can not believe the change in myself. Not just physically, but more emotionally. I'm so much more "ready for the world". I'm still shy and stuff... men asked me to dance... I danced my ass off, but couldn't look a single one in the eye... lol I definately kept my personal space boundary up, lol. No touching allowed! But I still had soooo much fun! This surgery has changed EVERYTHING about my life.... for the better! YAY!

What a difference in how we live now!!! I am sure you will have many more nights like that and will need some new dancing shoes soon!!! You have done so well and are an inspiration to those who followed.

That is an AWESOME story.
I can really relate especially to the "purse patrol girl" thing.

You are in inspiration to me that this moment WILL indeed come one day.
I can't wait to have a defining moment like that.

Keep up the good work!

Can't relate about the dancing - I kinda look like Elaine (Seinfeld) when she does her wacky dancing. Looks like I have Turret's Syndrome. But, I can understand the extra energy - good for you!!!!! Living life, baby!

So glad it's not just me. I think it's one of the things my BF wishes he could change. He loves to dance. He does force me to slow dance...but that's as far as it goes.

I am so happy to see that story. I LOVE to dance and used to do it professionally, so I totally dig the whole dancing thing. I could see you, picture the whole thing, and your smile as your were writing. Your energy is contagious! CONGRATULATIONS on a great milestone, as far as I'm concerned.
