Talking Joined a real Gym

First off, thank you all for your kind words about my photos you were part of my inspiration to do this.

I have never ever done it before and thought I never would but my work had a great discount with 24 hour fitness that I just couldn't pass up. It waived about $200 in start-up fees and I only pay $30 a month for full access to all the machines, classes, and the pool. I was so worried about being embarassed but there are actually regular people at the gym.

I have walked about 4 miles in the past couple days. I even ran a little bit. I haven't run in such a long time man did it feel good. My legs are paying for it now but I felt so great and when I got weighed by my trainer, I had even lost 3 more pounds. I know I am going to need to stop watching the numbers for a while though cause I am going to be building some muscle. It felt great to find out that out of the 239lbs on my body, 95 is fat and it's less than 50% of my total weight. It may sound like a lot but it's less than where it used to be.

Even though I am very very sore, I feel great and I hope this post motivates everyone to get up and get moving. Our surgeries are great but realizing what your body is capable of after it is even better. Just remember to take your vitamins those help alot.

You GO GIRL! That's awesome, and I need to get my butt in gear like you're doing! Have you noticed a big difference now when you work out, compared to before your surgery? I haven't focused on exercise NEARLY as much as I should and I have a lot of muscle weakness. I tried to tighten my buttcheeks the other night when my hubby was giving me a wedgie, and I couldn't do it! Yikes! LOL!
Thank you for the motivation.

Courtney I felt the same way when I joined 24 hour fitness. But once you get your own routine and you are inyour groove nothing else around you matters. Congrats on your new gym.

Good for you! I'm looking into joining a gym, too - the place I'm considering is a bit of a drive for me but I'm thinking it will be worth the expense.
