Question Pureed Stage..what was your favorite?

I'm in the pureed stage for the next few weeks and would love to find out what some of your favorites were at the pureed stage and what you did to zest it up... I think I've had my fill on refried beans

Thanks

I was all about cottage cheese. You can add just about any spices to it. You can make it sweet too with cinnamon and splenda. I also used to put Ricotta Cheese in a bowl with like a tablespoon of spaghetti sauce in the microwave and pretend it was a home cooked Italian dinner from my nunnie!

I may try this ricotta thing. I'm getting sick of cottage cheese. I'm a big fan of variety and, frankly, cottage cheese is quickly loosing favor with me. I personally never pureed anything. I ate a lot of soups (french onion being my fav so far, though not a lot of protien there). Chili was also really good. Had to be sure to chew it all up, but it's not hard because everything in there is really soft.

I also did the ricotta, sauce, and added some parmesan and sometimes mozzerella. It was the closest thing to a meal at that point! I also ate egg drop soup. If you are worried about the egg you could always blend it up some without making it too weird. I couldn't much get my mind around pureed meat. I added dry milk to cream soups that I either strained or pureed the pieces and also to mashed potatoes to add protein. That phase was ROUGH.....it will be over soon. Hang in there.

I fell in love with cream of wheat. I made it with milk (instead of water) and added a little bit of riccotta cheese, sugar free peanut butter and sometimes a little splenda.

I was all about eggs, hummus and creamy bean-like soups. I am now burnt out on all three things. Haha!

I wish I liked cottage cheese, because all of those recipes looked tasty.

I was able to eat bean with ham soup once in awhile pureed.....it wasn't too weird. But once I ate it I wouldn't want to see it again for a long time. I was weird like that in the puree stage.

I was all about some mashed potatoes and scrambled eggs. I'm at six months now, and I haven't touched either of those since the pureed stage...lol!

Campbell's Cream of Asparagus Soup was my favorite. I added only half a can of milk, so it had a thick, ceamy texture. Delicious. I liked scrambled eggs, too. I also pureed canned salmon in the blender with a little water to make it an almost soup-like consistency. Good protein, that.
