Default I'm hungry

For the first time since my surgery, I actually feel hungry. I had my little 4oz cup of low sugar/carb yogurt and it didn't fill me up. I actually felt that woozy kinda hungry feeling. I don't know why, but it surprises me that this has happened this early.

that happened to me and it freaked me out. don't worry, first of all, for me it tapered off after a week. AND remember that even if you are hungry, you will get full really quickly.

don't let it freak you out!

You will probably feel hunger for a period, and then you won't feel hunger, you know? Its been about a month for you, and your body was traumatized... it is sort of coming out of it and sending the hunger signals to your brain. You will feel really full really fast, though

When you have that feeling, drink something. For me the "head hunger" would always go away with a drink. Real hunger persisted but no where near as bad. You can't eat after you drink so that should stop you as well.. Good luck.

Ron it could be three of the one things. Lact of protein, or your not really hungry but just need to dink more fluids or your pouch is healing. Well it could be all three. If your still hungry aybe you should try half of a protein drink or protein bar. I hope that helps.

Well, I drank some water which tided me over till lunch (which was at 10:45). I went to Wendy's and got a small chili(which is enormous). I had about 4-5 spoonfulls and now I'm back to feeling totally full. Maybe even a little over full. My guess is protien deficiency. I can't wait for my orders of various protien supplements to show up.

Ron, I go through phases where I am totally hungry and could eat the kitchen sink...not....but its challenging to get through them, but you do. It gets better, then you go through it again...........normal. Try different things - I drink herbal tea, go for a walk, drink water, keep busy, eat chili....you get it.

I don't get head hunger anymore. My first few times of "frothing" pretty much killed any notions in my head that food was a good way to kill time. I still enjoy food but only at meal times. I don't even snack anymore.

After about 3 weeks post-op I felt physically hungry. This lasted for about 2-3 weeks and now all I battle with is head hunger. If I feel it, just have me some Crystal Lite or H2O and I am fine. As for your "head hunger" enjoy it while its gone cause I am sure it will come back to say hello.

I don't know if it's a phase, I'm sure it is, but for some reason I can't seem to put away more than a few spoonfulls of food at lunch time before my pouch starts telling me it's done with food.

Morning -- Hungry
Lunch -- Should probably try and eat but can't
Dinner -- Just fine. Can put away a normal ammount of food (for someone that has had Bariatric Surgery)

Should I just skip lunch from now on or keep trying to push thru and eat? It causes me some ammount of discomfort, which is distracting at work.

I'm torn. Hep me!
