Default No longer "MORBIDLY" Obese!!!

It totaly amazes me that when I started this journey back in October I was classified as morbidly obese with a BMI of 52. I was just futzing around in FitDay (my diet program to track how I'm doing) and my BMI is now 38 - still obese but no longer considered morbidly obese. So I'm still fat but not REALLY super-duper fat! That made me feel really good!!

Thumbs up

All we hear about pre op is BMI....is it high enough? Will I make the cut off?If it's not high enough ,do I have the right co mobities???? and on and on.

That's all I thought about...I am glad your moving down the BMI scale. It is awesome to see the numbers change and so fast.

Good for you,

V

I dunno if it's just me or no, but I wouldn't think you would want the tummy tuck till you are at your goal. The prospect of having to go thru 2 tummy tucks scares me poopless.

But gratz on not being super duper fat. can't wait till I'm there too

Nope- no tummy tuck yet! I went to a plastic surgery seminar (at one of our support groups) and they recommend not having any plastic surgery until at least a year post bypass and once you're at goal and your weight has stabilized for 3-6 months. I still have about 70 lbs to go so I'm thining next spring if I'm where I want to be that would be the time to start thinking about it.
