Default good question

Before surgery,I said 150 lbs and size 14.That was it...those were the two magic numbers.I could not see anything but those #'s.

My Dr.Never gave me a goal for my weight. He said my body would know when to slow down and stop.It is finally doing just that now.I am glad he didn't set a goal for me....I drove myself crazy enough with the 150/size 14 stuff.

It's normal to comapre your loss to others but again...why drive yourself carzy.Follow the rules and enjoy the ride of your life.

I am in maintain mode now and that is just as frustrating.

You sound great and looks like your doing well....Best wishes as it continues.

Talking about all this, I'm forced to consider my final goal of 200#. That would put me at a BMI of 27, which is still overweight. I'm wondering if I should shoot for 180, which is 24.4(and considered normal). I haven't seen 200 in a long time, so I'd probably be happy with that, but being in the normal range is probably healthier than being in the overweight... I dunno. It's still SOOO early in this whole thing. I'm cornfused

Default Time changes everything~

Ron~Right now..you see 200 as a goal...I saw 150 and could not get my mind to wrap arond anything else.

My two #'s are 8 sizes and 25lbs AGO!!!!! My 150/size 14 is now 135/size 6/8

Who knew...I didn't.

Have fun and know that anything and everything is possible...

BUT your body knows!!!

I know, I'm just horribly impatient by nature The results have been so fast and so drastic that I kinda worry that when things slow down I may get a little frustrated. I know I've got you all to fall back on, which is comforting, but I still have some apprehension.

I went through this about mini goals too. I don't get the purpose of it when you aren't really in control of it. I feel like it might make someone start starving if their body didn't respond fast enough.....and that's never good. I just set goals with no time and rewarded myself as I reached them......mostly with new clothes. But awhile back I did set some goals and time frames. I met the first one, was late on the second part of it, and am ahead of schedule now. So, I think it can be fun to do, but you have to focus more on following the rules and milestones rather than time frames. As most have experienced, I might stay the same for 3 weeks, then drop 5 lbs. But you are doing great!! Keep eating healthy, exercising, and following the rules, and stay here for support.....and you'll level out to where your body needs to be. I used to never see below 150......in fact, I used to say how I KNEW if I did I'd just be skin and bones. Guess what.....I'm there, and I'm somewhere between "normal" and a bit chubby. lol I could easily lose more and look healthy, so you might just have to wait and see as the weight comes off. Keep up the good work.
