Smile I'm interested...

Kim,

Congrats on your milestone.

I'm interested in next year's Breast Cancer walk. We need to do some fund raisers, like car washes, going to the swap meet and selling stuff, bake sales, etc. We should start now so we can raise all kinds of money for the cause.

Anyone else interested?

Thumbs up Pick Me, Pick Me!!!

This walk is something I have always wanted to do. I have done the other walks, but not the 3 day one for breast cancer. The cause is close to my heart and I would love to participate!!! I don't know when the walk is, but if we are still here.. count me in!!!!

Default Stacie,

Great idea for fundraisers. Let's meet and discuss this further! I think you have to raise a minimum dollar amount, something like $2,000 each. I believe it's also held the first weekend in October. I'll check out the web site to see if there are any details for next year.

Christina, where are you going missy?

This is also near and dear to my heart as my Great Aunt Anne had breast cancer. She was a survivor, they took one breast, she lived to a wonderful age of 80. At the time of her diagnosis, removal was the only option.

I'm sure we all know someone that has either died or is a survivor of breast cancer.

Default Breast Cancer 3 day!

It's October 14 - 16 in 2005 in San Diego.

Orientations for next year info.

Do you want to learn more about the 3-Day? An orientation is a fun, informative meeting where you'll get all of your questions about the event answered and learn how we support you in your fundraising and training efforts. You can register on the spot, and begin your 3-Day journey.

Attendance at an orientation is certainly not required before registering as a 3-Day walker, but if you are unsure about whether or not to commit to the 3-Day or you don't really know what you might be getting into, an orientation is the perfect place for you to find out more about this incredible event. Bring a friend!

We are always on the lookout for new locations. If you know of a location - a school, meeting hall, or any large room that can hold between 50-75 people, that would be willing to donate their space for limited use, please contact us at (800) 996-3DAY or email sandiegocoaches@the3day.org.

I think it would be really cool to do this. It's going to take a lot of training to finish the walk. Keep me posted as you get info.

Default Will do Pam!

This is a goal of mine. I am in no way going to be ready to do this walk for a least a year. It's going to take walking alot more than what I'm doing now to prepare!

This is what my friend did this year. They did the walk on Friday, stayed in the tents, then rented a hotel room for Saturday night and brought in a person to give them all massages. I'm totally up for that. It gave them the strength to make it through Sunday. She said it was the most gratifying, hardest, best three days she's ever had. People all along the route are cheering you on and the organizers take really good care of you.
