Default Please help me, I think something is wrong

Good evening All,
I am new to this forum but so far am enjoying it VERY much ! My surgery was April 19th, and in the first week I lost 18lbs, the second week 15lbs and now as I approach the one month marker- I have only lost an additional 4lbs
I am trying so hard and have not done anything different. In fact, last week I weighed in one day and was 4lbs heavier and the only thing I can think of is that it was from the canned soup (sodium) , because I felt swelling in my ankles.
I am scared I will not lose any more weight or that I have damaged or broken something

Has this happened to anybody? Should I have a stand still at 3 - 4 weeks?

I am supposed to start soft foods tomorow and now am scared that I need to do something more drastic such as clear liquids only , until I start to lose again.

Any help would be greatly appreaciate as I am so scared I will never get to a healthy weight!

Thank you and wishing everyone a WONDERFUL evening

Welcome to the forum! I also stalled out at the 3-4 week mark. You haven't broken anything, so please don;t worry. Your body needs to adjust to the rapid weight loss. Do not worry - what you are experiencing is natural

Welcome

What you are going through is totally normal. Your body know whats going on and will start changing and somedays you will loose alot and somedays you will not loose anything. That is why I weigh myself once a week. Don't worry and do exactly what your Dr. told you they get paid alot to know what they are doing.

Ditto of Whitney. I Lost like gangbusters the first 2 weeks and slowed to stall in 3 and 4. Look Where I am now. The rule is 20% of your excess weight in the first month, 55-60% by six months. After huge weeks, the next is usually small. It averages out over time. I found the week I ovulate, I don't lose. You are doing great and it gets so much easier with food. Getting your protein in becomes natural.

Keep up the good work

Get off the scale... in fact lock it in your trunk. You can not obsess over the numbers because they wil go up, down, and stall continuously. Track your inches and let the pouch do it's job.
