Default One more thing...its about back pain and eye sight!!!

Well I remember right out of surgery, I had severe I mean BADD back pain in between my shoulder blades...it went away about a day late, all they could tell me is its probably because of getting tossed around so much during surgery...now that its gone , its not a big worry...just wondering if anyone else got that?? The other thing is, I have very bad eye site...I wear glasses, and when I was discharged, I was not focusing AT ALL...and it was bad all yesturday(yesturday I was discharged, I am 3 days out) my glasses would not work, I noticed today it was a little better, I am guessing it was from the pain meds, what do you all think? it was very weird. well ttyl....

Oh good! Its not just me. Im on day 3 and its driving me nuts that i cant see very well. I wear glasses too.
My doc said that it may be an effect of the anestesia - also im REALLY sleepy and i know that when i get really tired my eyesight gets kind of blurry.

My back hurt too ... i assumed it was just from that horribly uncomfortable bed.

I hope you get to feeling better That way i can too hehe

I do remember you Im glad yours went well too!!

Dr Mueller is a hoot isnt he? My husband was all "Is he hyperactive or what?" cause he was in my room talking about a thousand miles per hour right before he said it was ok to release me.

My vision has gotten alot better over the course of the day too... after one of my mini-naps when im up and around im at almost 100% i think and then it will go downhill a little bit when ive worn myself out again and then i just go take another mini-nap.
.... ill never get back into a normal sleeping schedual again i fear. These 1-2 hour power naps are awsome.

OH no no no don't worry...just you know if you have ever watched a surgery show on Discovery or something....you are on like a unpadded piece of metal and your hands and arms are strapped down...that can cause some uncomfortable pain after for a person who is big you know??? Sweety don't worry it goes away and not everyone, infact most to even get it, ITS WORTH IT!!!

I don't get much...I am a stomach sleeper and I am to nervous to lay on my stomach so I toss from one side to another all night long...any suggestions on what I could do or should I not be nervous as long as it doesn't hurt?? I have to say I am very happy to be out of the hospital and home...SIPPING on my water all day, goodness its a hassel getting those 64oz down...lol...well IM me sometime...ttyl <3 Jenna

As far as sleeping goes...have you tried a recliner? I am 5weeks out and I still prefer it. I tried the night before last to sleep in my bed (I"m also a stomach sleeper). I am still not ready to sleep on my stomach and my hips start to hurt after about an hour....so I toss and turn. In the chair I sleep fine. Try it.

Also when I was in the hospital the nurse told me I was lucky that my back wasn't bothering me. She said a lot of people experience extreme back pain after the procedure. So it's very common. I know that doesn't make it less painful, but maybe less stressful.
