Default back pain post op?

has anyone else experienced back pain/strain a few months post op? I am just over 4 months out and I've had back pain for a week and a half. Someone told me that this is common with WLS- any one else experience it? How did you get rid of it? Any tips? My pain is mostly in the lower back.

Any info would help,
thanks!

Back pain is a pain, isnt it?!! Yeah, its normal, but lower back pain could also point to kidneys. Are you drinking enough water? Maybe drink more. And, of course the only thing you can really take is Tylenol...maybe you still have pain medication left over from surgery?? If it persists, call your Dr.

I had back problems prior to surgery and have had a lot of back pain since. I think one big problem is not taking anti-inflammatory medicines. I started on Celebrex about three months after surgery and that has helped.

I also had a kidney stone become symptomatic one month after surgery. Once that was removed last month my back pain improved.

I had the back pain for about the first 6 months. It started the day after surgery! I don't know if it would have faded by itself or not but I did everything I could to strengthen my back and abdominals with exercise over the course of time.

I also would lay on the side of the bed with my head & back hanging over the side to stretch it twice a day per my chiropracter. Feels good if nothing else .. LoL. It's much better now!

Hoper yers gets better soon too

I have lower back problems, but did experience an episode about 4 weeks after surgery. I was drinking plenty of water, so I knew it wasn't the kidneys. I still had Vicodin left over, so I used that, and rested my back and it went away...I think with the rapid weight loss that the body is doing some serious frame re-adjusting....
