I can't believe they just won't let us win for anything will they. You fight them and if you need anything I'll be here to help.

Default Department of Insurance

The only suggestion that I could make is to file a complaint with the Department of Insurance for each denial that you have received. They are the regulators of the insurance industry and each complaint requires that the insurer responds. It becomes somewhat of a hassle for the various insurers having to respond timely to the complaints.

What carriers have denied you? I was not aware that it could be so difficult getting surgery after the operation.

Thumbs down Insurance

Melanie,

I was denied by Blue Shield first (Funny thing is THEY are the ones who approved my surgery!!)

I have been denied by Aeta, Blue Cross, Kaiser, and Healthnet as well.

I have the denial letter from Blue Shield. I am waiting on the rest. I am getting coverage through Healthnet now through a group policy. Thanks for the information on the department of insurance. I have almost finished my letter and I am pretty impressed with myself so far. Thanks again, and I will post it when I finish it.
