Default Gas Pains ???

I keep getting off and on bad cramping feelings in my stomach area- left side--- not sure if it is gas pains or if it is something wrong -- sometimes it won't hurt at all-- then I move a certain way - or breath a certain way and it feels like the whole left side cramps, inside and out --- Gosh I hate it --- I still haven't had a decent bowl movement since surgery----
Does it sound like gas pains to all of you girls and guys ???

Default Yep!

Ohhhhh, yeah. I suggest you keep a ready supply of Gas-X or equivalent. The gas and dumping are also 2 different things and it is possible to have/do both at once. Also, I quickly found out after surgery that I am seriously lactose intolerant, which produces heinous gas. So I take Lactaid every day and generally feel pretty cruddy after a glass of milk or a spoon of ice cream.

Sorry you're having that, it's not very fun--I did it just yesterday and I still feel like crap. Gas-X rocks, though.

Yep - gas..yuck yuck and double yuck!! Donna's right about the Gas-X, although I haven't taken it yet because I am still on prescription Zantac morning and night, and that seems to work pretty well. I hope you feel better real soon!!

Well I had that pain and it wasn't gas. It was a really bad pain in my left side when I moved a certian way. I had it about 1 week post op. I slept with a heating pad for one night and never had the pain again! Good luck

PS i posted a thread about this very pain when I was early post-op. You should search it.
