Default my first dump

5 1/2 weeks post surgery. I was thinking I was one of those who do not dump
until last night.
I am not sure if I ate too much or too fast but it hit me about 20 min after dinner.

I ended up not eating for the rest of the day but I do feel better today.

Just curious, what did you eat that brought it on?

I dumped for the first time last night and I am 12 months post op. My daughter's birthday was Monday so I bought her a cake with buttercream icing and some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. I didn't touch it until last night. It was calling my name sooooo bad. I have a small slice with a scoop of ice cream, all on an empty stomach. OH MY GOSH... I thought I was going to die. I started sweating, my heart was racing and my head felt like it was going to explode. It lasted an hour!

Just goes to show, not matter how far out we are, we are never safe from sugar. And I tolerate just about anything. I surley learned my lesson!

My Wife made up some chicken and dumplings and normaly I put the food on my plate but last night she did and put a little too much on the plate. I thought that I'll just eat half of it but I guess I went too far and ate too much of it.

I havent tried sugar and after last night I don't want too.

It is a horrible feeling but now you know what it feels like. I usually have to just lay my head down and let it pass. Glad you are feeling better.

My surgery was Tuesday and after hearing some much on dumping I really watch what I am putting in my mouth.
