Question for the GUYS
Guys,
Have you found an significant increase in your libido since surgery? Sometime I feel like I am in my teens again, good in some respects, but currently not seeing anyone

Mike, I'm not a guy, but it's definitely normal according to our surgeon. Guys get the testosterone surge, the ladies get the PMS hormone surge, seems pretty unfair to me.

I think there may be something to that, other than libido, I have been weight training since my 6th week. My energy level and overall strength and muscle size is increasing faster than I can remember since my days of college football. I am loving this aspect thats for sure. Higher testosterone at 34 is awesome!

I'm curious... do you closely monitor your daily protein intake? I'm thinking about starting up weight lifting again and I'm wondering where my daily protein intake should be to build maximum muscle...
BTW, as to the libido question: mine varies... kind of like the waxing and waning of the moon. But I will say that when it's up... it's definitely up (pun intended).

My trainer and nutritionist told for WLS patients, us the following formual as minimial guideline - (1.5grams * LBM(lean Body mass) in lbs) / 2.2 (to get into Kilograms)
Leann Body mass = total weight minus total fat weight. In my case its 175 lbs
(1.5 g *175)/2.2 = 120 grams
I take in an average of 120 to 140 grams per day, this has not stopped my weight loss at all.
Hope this helps, any questions PM me

Interesting thread!
I'm not a guy, but I find this curious as well as unfair!
So, what is up with the female decline?
I was thinking I was broke!!
Please, someone explain how weight loss in women affects our hormones in that cruel way and what we can do to improve it.
P.S. you go guys!!

also, not a guy....but my husband who had the surgery is and the answer is YES, YES, YES!! (somehow I'm picturing that Meg Ryan scene from "When Harry Met Sally").....
but the thing is, I've also lost almost 50 pounds myself along with him....so we're both finding more energy in day to day things as well as sex....and I have to say, things are *almost* like they were when we met at 21 and 22 years old!!!I think we both feel like we've woken up from a deep sleep if you know what I mean.....it's nice when both people in a relationship hit this part of my life at the same time!
