WOW Lisa! That's quite a drop there! So glad to hear that the scale is moving again. I'm just waiting for my first plateau. I will be keeping you in mind when I do. You are doing so awesome!

Have a Happy Easter.

Lisa,

You will definitely have those moments. I have many times where I ponder whether I need to re-evaluate my diet or just hang in there. I've never stalled out for more than 3 weeks, but I go so slowly sometimes. I always hang in there first.....mainly because I don't want to cut back and slow my metabolism. I eat a decent amount throughout the day, but I make mostly very healthy choices. So far this has continued to work out for me. The only change I made was making myself eat breakfast to cut out my snacking craze later in the day. Don't get discouraged though.......just keep following the rules. Your body just goes through times where it's trying to gain it's equilibrium back. You are doing fantastic.....and you will get wherever you want to be!

Thanks for all your well wishes. Its a very strange thing to go through, a plateau and if you haven't had one, its very hard to describe the emotions and the second guessing yourself through it (after WLS). With myself failing at so many diets, its hard when it happens to you to have hope that the plateau will end...but it does. I kept the same eating habits except added in a little bigger breakfast with a little more protein. I felt I needed that especially with getting up 3 hours earlier and starting back at work. Other than that, I kept to the same and just waited and waited.

You know how many people here said, just wait it out and be patient...and I believed all of you, but until you go through it and see the result at the end, you never really believe it will happen to you.

I have a lot of clothes, most of which hang on me now. Dressing for work is a challenge. I am very happy that summer is coming and I can get away with dressing in shorts a few days at work and sundresses.

Patience is a virtue (one I don't have or didn't wait around long enough in line for it to be handed out to me). Great job, you are doing so well!!

plateau's SUCK! I sat for almost 8 weeks at the same weight I thought it was the end for me. But it changed and things have started moving down again. Hang in there. You know they are going to come but your NEVER prepared to deal with it when it does.
