I've been taking my BCP right along, even took it first day post op. I did however, get my period a week before I should have and therefore had it for two weeks. Happy Happy Joy Joy. NOT! It's finally gone but I"m sure it will be unpredictable for quite awhile. I really hope not though. I"m on Seasonale so I only get it every 3 months.

My period was due 10 days after surgery...I got it the day after surgery. The next month is was early and this month its 14 days late...I have suffered with the symptoms for the last 2 weeks and was expecting it any time...I had to wait a while. I had open surgery and apparently its common as your body has gone through trauma, a change in your hormones ect. Its normal.

As far as the pouch...could it be that its telling you its not happy? Possibly - with new foods, it takes a while to adjust. Are you eating too fast or drinking too soon afterwards. For me, if I eat too fast, I get pains. I take the first bite, then wait 2 minutes...then slowly eat the rest of my meal..and 95% of the time its ok now. Some foods sit different than others, and I think thats just life after wls.

Food going down the intestine too fast can cause symptoms you state. Just my thoughts.
