Default 1 year out next week

Hi all.

Next week will be my 1 year anniversary. This has been an amazing year, I have lost 112 pounds and have more energy than ever.

Two friends are now considering the surgery. i have talked extensively with both of them and told them that even though I'm half my size, I'm still me. So tread lightly, being thin is just that. At the end of the day, you are still the same person.

I will admit that I love the attention and compliments I often receive. Many people literally do not recognize me. When I look back on pictures, I can understand why.

I had a neat experience yesterday when I went for my female annual - the paper garments covered me - all the way around and then some. And the Dr said I was at a good weight for my body! Funny how the little things make you feel good.

I am able to eat more than I did 6 months ago bur no where near as much as before the surgery. I still avoid sugar and deserts, even though small amts are now tolerable. I will lick the cover off my son's chocolate pudding!

I wish I could get to the suppot meetings more often and plan to attend when I can. They are a big help. I also have a "buddy" who had the surgery the day after me and we check in on each other which is helpful as well.

I think I'm at goal, I see Dr. Callery next week. I just wanted to give an update and wish all of you the best!

Default Robin,

WOW! You Rock! That is awesome! Thanks for sharing that with us. Those Damn paper garments still don't fit all the way around me! I think I'll add that to my list of milestones! I wish you only good news when you see Dr. C. I pray that your labs are all good!

Keep us posted!
