Metallic taste in my mouth
Hi all!
Well, generally things are going swimmingly. I have lost 54 lbs (I'm 10 weeks out and am half way to my goal weight) and am eating ok for the most part. As we all know, some days are better than others for eating...but mostly it's ok.
I have a yucky taste in my mouth most of the time, which is affecting the way food/drink taste to me. It's kind of metallic sometimes and other times it just tastes bleck. I am guessing it's got something to do with diet and/or how my body is now processing food.
Does anyone have any experience with this and, if so, does it go away?
Thanks.
Lisa A.

Hi Lisa, yeah I get that metal taste in my mouth too. I usually get it after I take my chewable vitamins so it could be that. Some may say that funky taste is because of ketosis? Lately it's not as bad as it was at the beginning. Just thought I'd let you know I experience it too.

It could also be your iron levels....talk to your doc to see for sure, though

My mouth tastes like shit constantly, and has since surgery. It's not as bad as when I first started this journey, but it is noticeable and embarrassing to me. I keep sugarfree mint gum with me at all times. I have read alot of posts that people have mentioned this same thing in, so I know I am not the only one. And neither are you.

I think the bad breathe, and bad taste in the mouth is ketosis.
