When did U Dump?
I am 7 weeks out now and so far so good . The question I have is, how many of you (that are about as far out as me) have NOT dumped yet? Or if you are further out, how far out were you when you finally dumped?
I am just waiting and waiting to find out what's going to do it...I feel like a ticking bomb waiting to go off . Anyway, I'm just curious. I know it's not a good thing to dump but I know it's going to happen sooner or later, right?

yes it will happen. Don't test it. Dumping sucks so bad. The three times I have dumped have been the only three times I asked myself why the hell did I do this to myself. I dump on weird things like potato soup and other high fat, high carb foods. Just assume all bad things like candy and carbs make you dump. You will do fine just use your tool well. Good luck!

No dumping
HI there --
I haven't dumped yet. *knock on wood* I think I'd know what it feels like, because it can happen after gall bladder surgery too -- usually in response to some rich food (usually arbitrary so you're nice and surprised and far from a bathroom when it happens).
It's not a great feeling.

I'm 9 weeks out and haven't dumped yet either. I have had some diarrehea after eating certain foods but I really wouldn't call it dumping because it wasn't all that bad. I also occasionally get nauseated and kind of light headed after eating certain foods but again, I really don't consider that dumping either. Here's hoping that I don't experience full fledged dumping for a very long time.

My doctor told me that everyone does not dump. He said those that do are the lucky ones even though you might not think they are. Those that don't have a much harder time knowing thier limits because they don't have that syndrome.

4 weeks out and no dumping
Hi-I'm four weeks post-op and haven't dumped on anything. I have had ALOT of things that have made me vomit and some things that just make me sick to my stomach (ie Unjury protein supplement) but no dumping. I haven't really tried much of anything though that would make me dump, I'm too scared to try! Now that I'm sick, I have even less of an appetite thanks to this cold bug I've got. I don't want to dump either! It doesn't sound like fun at all, but I have read a lot of posts on here and some people don't ever dump regardless of what they eat.
Saturday I had a fraction of a bite of a Krispy Kreme donut and now I can't honestly remember what I liked about them. Talk about something greasy and sickly sweet. I didn't dump but I also didn't take a very large bite of it, either. I am losing my taste for stuff like that now.

12 weeks out
Funny that it took so long, but my first "i want to die moment" was last week when i allowed myself to have chili-cheese fritos. I don't know if it was from the oil or what, but oh my gosh, i wanted to force myself to throw up. I pretty much had a racing heart for a 1/2 hour.

If your not dumping, its because you are following the rules
A bite of a Krispy Creme is only like 5-7 grams of sugar. Most people dump after 12 grams in a a couple of bites! Not 12 grams that it takes you to get in over 20 mins. So if you think about it, a snickers bar, you can eat it relatively quickly 9even post WLs) it has 35 grams of sugar? You are going to get VERY ill, if you dont beleive me, try it.
Diahrrea, isnt barfing, thats just a negative reaction to food, Dumping effents insulin and blood sugar levels. There is nothing you can do to east, comfort or get rid of it, but wait it out or sleep it off.
Barfing, isnt dumping.
The first thing I dumped on was nachos. the first thing that made me barf was corned beef, I ate it oo fast or took too big of bites.
In the past 2+ years I have done it 9dumping) about 10 times. Now it takes like 20 grams of sugar to make me sick, it use to take 12..... thats alot. I can have 1 twinkie or a choc-o-dile without getting sick. Im okay with that, there is no way in hell will you catch me eating 2 in the same month!
Had some Hot Tamales (the candy) last week... ate em sitting in drivning school class.... ate the lil packeage in about 10 mins... sick as a dog. Some days and tolerance levels are better than others. Good luck n stuff.

I am 3.5 months out and I have yet to dump. I assume that anything over about 6-7 grams of sugar per serving will do so I just dont eat it period.
I havent pushed the limits on it, and frankly I like thinking those things will make me sick and if they don't I would just as soon my head not know... you know?
