Hi Pod-mate...I have dumped early out (at about 4-5 weeks out). The one time I had a regular popsicle instead of a sugar free (by mistake). Had skakes, chills, the poops, and a ill feeling for about 2 hrs. I felt a little ill one other time - a mini dump - when the nurse at the hospital MADE me drink regular juice on day 3.

I stay away from the stuff that would make me dump. I haven't even tried banana yet! I am a chicken.

Dumping is not something that I want to experience again..but on a positive note, I still have trouble going #2, and if it were to get real bad, I might consider dumping to get things going if nothing else worked. It would save a trip to the hospital.

Good to go here, I am not having any issues at all with food. My strength and energy have returned and feel great!

Glad to hear you are doing well!

Thumbs up

Thanks everyone for the responses! I'm glad I haven't experienced dumping and to know that I must be doing something right. I just can't believe how many foods agree with me and that I stop eating at the right time. Eating is starting to get easier .

Why wait for something that shouldn't happen? Dumping is NOT bad, it, like the surgery is a tool. However it only starts working when you do something wrong (i.e. eat far too much sugar or carbs). If it happens learn from it, if it doesn't happen know you are doing something right.

Also, there are many people in my support group that have never dumped. One of them like you tried, eatting more and more sugar, and now she has stopped losing because too many calories are being consumed through the sugary food.

So far I have not dumped at all. I am now about 5 months out and so far so good. After the complication pains I had I am doing everything I can to avoid anything that might make me feel bad.

Thanks Matthew for your reply. I see what you're saying. We want to dump if we eat the wrong foods but I have not been doing that. I don't eat sugars at all.
I'm just surprised because I have read a lot of posts where people write how they dump on regular foods and that hasn't happened to me. So, from the responses I got to this thread, I figure I am eating like I am supposed to. I keep track of my calories using Fitday.com and I have been consuming between 500-900 calories a day.
