Default Update

Beat me with a wet noodle! I haven't been posting much and I vow to get back on track with my posts. I need the support! I'm down 2 more lbs and my sizes 4's are too big. I have been trying to get in more carbs and higher calorie foods, but still healthy stuff-whole wheat pasta, dried fruit, etc. I have been having these weird little shaky spells. My boss sent me down to the med station because he wanted my sugar checked-53 is pretty darn low. I ate a cheese cracker with pb and drank some apple juice and felt great! I have a digital camera in layaway and plan to get it out in the next 2 weeks so i can update this darn avatar! I was in the 180's then and i look way different now! Still working on getting this house sold. We are much closer with that now-we have an offer and we have countered on it. Things with hubby have really taken a turn for the worse. His drinking is out of control and he is really treating me poorly. I think my marriage is nearing the end unless he gets his life under control. I really wouldn't mind living without him other than the finances, but I can make it. The company we both work for Maytag has been sold to Whirlpool and we aren't really sure how much longer our jobs are going to last. I really want to start working on my bachelors degree, but I don't want $30,000 in debt on student loans so I'm not sure how that is going to work out. I'm having a lot of trouble with my back and the only relief I get is with vicodin which I'm trying to use as little as possible. My kids are great-oldest got 1st place in Science fair and gets to go to state. The youngest got another 1st place in the last speech meet of the year. The both got great report cards and have been very helpful around the house. Sorry to ramble, but I have been MIA for so long I needed to catch up!

Ah Amber, I'm so sorry to hear about the marriage problems. Seems like if it's not one thing, it's another. I'm also sorry to hear about the job issues. I hadn't heard about the sale to Whirlpool. I hope your jobs continue, and that you'll make it through this rough time. My prayers are with you all!

Hey Amber.....glad to see you back around. I'd love to see a new avatar.....it's so cool to watch everyone change. I'm going to try and change mine this week.....Lord help me......since this one is almost 3 months old. I'm sorry to hear things with the hubby aren't going well. I am debating ending things with my BF.....luckily we have no mixed funds and such. It's hard to get through things and you just gotta do what is healthiest for you. You are kind and smart, and I am sure you will make it on your own if you choose. Don't give up the dream of school. You can work it out some way. It sounds like your kids could even help out. Congrats on raising some great people. Hang in there skinny booty!

Hi Amber - It was terrific to get an update on you...I have missed seeing you around. I am so sorry about you and your hubby - you both will be in my prayers...prayers for him to quit drinking like he is, you for your sanity through all of this stress, for your jobs, for your kids, and for your house. You are an amazing woman who inspires me. I know you can do anything you set your mind to do - whether it be school or not. Hang in there, sweetie - know that you are dearly loved.

Amber:

Wow, it sounds like everything is going pretty great for you, except your marriage. I've said it before and I'll say it again. No one should have to live with an alcoholic. If his drinking is out of control, then he's probably an alcoholic. I know. I lived with one--my stepfather.

I hope you will do what's best for YOU and your children. You're a very strong woman and I know you will do whatever you need to do. Take care of yourself. Remember that we're always here. I don't post nearly as much as I used to, but I read a lot so I can keep up-to-date with my WLS buddies. You love, sweetie.

Amber,

Thanks for the update... I'm sorry to hear you're going through a rough patch but you'll find your way -- in your new and improved body.

By the way, you might want to carry nuts or granola bars or something on you in case you have another low sugar spell.
