Default How to stop losing weight?

well i am almost months post op and have gone from 332 to about 178. thing is i am still losing weight. it is fine now but i think i am getting to the point where it should stop. i talked to mu doc and he said just to keep doing what i am doing and it will work itself out. he said he wouldn't worry unless i got below 150, but think 150 for a 5' 8" male is too small.

what did everyone else do. did you make the decision to start eating more at some point? i can still lose almost a pound a day when i want to.

thanks!

You body will stop shedding the pounds once it reaches a certain point. That is almost certain. Its something that our bodies just does. Thats why your doctor is telling you not to worry. Now if you have a eatting disorder and are starving yourself then your body will start eatting on your muscle and then you will start to lose weight unhealthy....I doubt if you are in that catogory. If you feel that you don't want to lose anymore weight then you need to really express this to your doctor. Put your foot down and let him know that you are comfortable at your current weight. He will then tell you how to maintain your current weight.

You have to remember all body types are different. The way one person maintains thier weight might be totally different from what you have to do to maintain yours. Consult your doctor and make him listen to you.

thank you for the replies. I am fine losing a few more pounds, the more I lose now the better off I will be long term. I have just been starting to hear from family members that they think I am losing too much, but I am confident in what the doc tells me, so I will just keep doing what i am doing, and i'll see what happens.

thanks again.
