Default Sharp Pain???

Last night I was having sharp pains under my right rib cage that wouldn't go away. If I stood up, I got some relief, but not much. I took Gas-X thinking it might be gas. It continued through the night, this morning, and all day today. It feels like someone kicked me in the stomach (ribs). I am so sore. I am also getting knife jabbing pains in the lower right side of my back. I am trying not to freak out, but all of this is on the right side. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Default Same thing?

Hi Dale,
I have been experiencing the same thing, very weird. It's just below my shoulder blade on the right side. I don't know why and I hope it goes away.

Default How are you Jim?

Jim,
How are your pains today? I am still sore under the right rib cage and the back pain went away. Hopefully, it is something normal and just passes with time. Hope you are doing well. You are almost at goal! How is Jennifer and Jennimae? Hope they are doing great.

Default Still there!!

Hi Dale,
its still bothering me and it comes and goes. I'm glad yours is better. I know...17 lbs to go, I can't believe it. Jenniemae is doing great, I think she's lost 110 and has about another 15 to goal. Jennifer is also doing good for being 2 weeks out. She hangs out with her Mom so she is in good hands. I hope to see you this month at the support group.

Lightbulb Dale

Dale right sided pain could be a sign of gallstones.. do you still have your gallbladder?? If so you may want to check with your PCP to get in and get it checked out.. good luck to you my friend.. Love you bunches.. let us know how you're doing..

Christina,
I haven't been taking my Actigol and that scares me. I will ask Kelly when I see her on the 12th. The Actigol makes me sick and Dr. Callery told me not to take it. It could be gall stones and that is scary. Let's hope not. I don't think they can form that fast, Can they???

Question Gall Stones

Dale,

I'm not sure how fast or slow they form. However, I do think it is something that you need to have checked out. The Actigal makes me sick too so I understand. They took me off of it too. I'm just worried about you girlfriend and I hope that it is a residual surgery type pain as opposed to gallstones..

Let me know what Dr. C Says.. and by all means, if you are still feeling that pain this week.. go in earlier..

Smile I have it

I have a sharp pain on my right side right on my rib cage too. When I push on it I cant feel it, but when I am laying down on my right side I can definitley feel it. It's a jabbing pain, the pain doesnt linger at all. Im not sure if this is the same pain you are feeling or not Dale. I am going to have Mr Doctor take an Xray of it this week just to make sure there are no foreign bodies in there. I dont have a gallbladder, and this pain Im feeling is no way the same kind of pain that I use to experience with gall bladder attacks. I would takl to your PCP and see what he/she has to say... I'll let you know what the xray showed or didnt show...

Bridget, please let me know what your pcp says. My pcp always tells me that he would rather have Dr. Callery take care of things that my be associated with wls. I still get that sharp pain and then I am really sore. I am seeing Kelly next week and I will ask her. I will keep you posted.

And Christina, I will keep you posted, too...could be gallstones???
