Talking OB update 3-17-06

Hi all. I went for my checkup yesterday. He was happy to see I lost afew more pounds since I was thre last. My DR says I am holding about 17 pounds of pregnancy weight, between the baby and extra blood and fluids. He said my weight loss should speed up after delivery and that I may start to gain a few pounds now . I am really scared about that. He said my blood sugars look great, I only need to test about 3X a day now instead of 6. I also got my rhogam shot and I will go back in 3 weeks for the steroid shots. Two injections 24 hours apart. I think this is what may make me gain weight the steroids but as long as the baby is healthy that is all that matters in the end, the weight will come off. I am not the same person I was 9 months ago. He re-adjusted my due date to June 15 according the the babies size. So in 8 weeks I will have the amnio to check her lungs and we will go from there for the delivery. Her heart rate looked great it was in the 140's she was sleeping .

I will probably ahve an ultrasound in a few weeks to check the babies weight and to see how thin my scar tissue on my uterus has gotten. Hopefully everything will be fine I really do not want them to take her any earlier then they have to. So thats about it for now. I feel great the best I have felt with any of my pregnancies.

Glad everything is going great! I'll be going on a cruise with my granddaughter around your due date, but they have computers on there. so, I 'll keep informed! Try not to panic with any weight gain. The day of delivery, you'll lose most of it.
