Default Food Question...

OK I know I ask alot of food question but hey my mamma once said there is never a dumb question.

I just got back from the super market and wanted everyones thoughts on the following foods also any good way to cook them. I am about 8-9 weeks Post op.

turkey Bacon-

Chicken wings-

Italian sweet turkey sausage-

and once in awhile I will use a little tiny bit of red devil hot sauce.

Thanks for looking out for a good ol country boy,

Fry the turkey bacon and crumble it on top of a salad with chopped tomato, cucumber and blue cheese crumbles!

Italian sausage... cook it up, with onions, mushrooms, peppers, mix with spices and tomato sauce, then serve with cottage cheese. Tastes like lasagna!

Are the chicken wings already seasoned?? If so... bake them, don't fry!

Sheesh I'm gettin hungry!

Hey that's my recipe! Glad you enjoy it! I live on it too! I was cleared for salads at 6 weeks, that's why I mentioned it.

I ditto what they said......bake the wings. If you want the feeling of fried there are lots of ways to coat and bake them or you could pan fry them with a little olive oil. I ate good old hot sauce with no problem since I was able to eat soft foods. I dip chicken in it, flavor eggs with it, use it so I can't tell my sausage is made from chicken, and to flavor beans or veggies. Dig in!! Oh, but slowly and thoroughly!
