I am ordering 10 cases of IsoPur protien drink, it is a clear liquid that has 3 carbs and 40g of protien.

drink that during the day.

and then do Myoplex Lite for my meal, im not sold on this, any other protien Shakes that people have been having good luck with?

thanks

Mike

Mike best advice to purchase to much of anything. Maybe one of each to see what will be to your liking. What you like pre-op you might not like post-op. Personally I have had IsoPur and it isn't the best tasting stuff in the world. Have you tried it? I just want to wish you much success and I will see you on the losing side tommorow.

Good luck on your upcoming surgery. I rarely use protein drinks. But the Isopure you mentioned is talked about at my support group. It is one of the better ones. I get plenty of protein through eating, so the need to supplement isn't too great for me. However the best advice I can give is to find a GOOD support group and go. I have been to many and found one exceptional group leader. I go to all her meetings (3 a month).

Good luck again

Mike,

Please dont purchase a large quantity of anything before surgery.I can tell you from my experience and reading the post here that not only your taste pre and post-op change, but they will continue to change for some time after. One day something will taste fine and the next it will make you sick.Follow the diet your surgeon gives immediatly post-op and let your body heal you will have plenty of time to try different protein drinks soon enough.I introduced Isopure to my surgeons office when I was pre-op and after my surgery I had two and couldnt get another down.Fortunately I only bought a few.

Good Luck

Isopure is supposed to be really good, and is recommended by my surgeon - don't get a ton of it before surgery - I got one of each flavor

Careful ofpurchasing a large order of anything. I used to love SANN Infusion, but can't stand it. And 10 cases of Isopur is alot, maybe a case then see.

Mike, what I was able to tolerate prior to surgery, I could NOT DO after surgery...they were either too sweet or the taste turned me off. I like the sample packages at GNC to try different ones...haven't found one post-op that I can get down or keep down.

good luck on your upcoming surgery.

I agree with everyone recommending you not buy large amounts. It's is so hard to find ones you like. I swear they should have protein exchange day at support groups! I have wasted a lot on things I don't like now, and am about to order samples of nectar from a website to try for warmer weather.
