Default A Little WOW moment

Okay, I know this might not sound like much but it was a bit of a "WOW" moment for me.

I work in a hospital and am required to wear the hospital's scrubs at work. I haven't been able to wear the scrubs they provide for several years and have had to go out and buy my own. You see the hospital didn't have scrubs that were big enough for me. Anyway, I went back to work last night (the 1st time since my surgery) and was shocked to find out I now actually FIT into the scrubs that they provide. I was SO thrilled and smiled to myself most of the shift.

Oh, and one more "WOW" when I got to work even the head doctor on our unit said he could already tell that I had lost weight, especially through my face. I thought it was pretty cool that it is already noticeable to others beside me.

Just kinda excited!

Talking On Your Way

Beth:

Congratulations on your success. Of course people should see a difference in you already...you've lost 44 lbs.! I know it's hard to see it yourself, though.

Try to get used to receiving compliments. There are many, many more to come. Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for the encouraging words. I've been feeling a little down lately so the "wow" moment and your words have come at the right moment. You all are a very supportive group of people and I'm glad to have found this forum.

Reminds me of a little wow moment for me. I was in a meeting with a doctor and several other people I work with. I usually see this doctor every day. It was about 6 months post-op. We all just sat down when he comments, "Marie, there's something different about you." Everyone in the room was silent in disbelief that he hadn't noticed before or heard the chatter. I calmly said with a smile, "Well, duh...I've lost 80 lbs." It was classic watching his jaw drop!
