Talking First Time Feel Great Post-op

Hey all!

This is the first time since surgery that I've actually felt GREAT. I've had a great day. I think it's cause I added a protein drink to my list of things to eat today and I started taking my vitamin a couple of days ago. Not sure if that's the cause, but today I was able to take my dog on his regular walk (about one Km/half a mile), I got my vehicle registered (I didn't drive, but I had to stand in a line) AND....ready for this....I cleaned the kitchen and washed the floor for the first time since I've been home and I LOVED every minute of it. (Wonder if they rewired my cleaning circuits while they were in there. Hope so.)

Oh, protein...you are now the goddess at whose altar I worship!

Seriously, today gave me hope that not only am I going to feel normal again, but I'm going to feel better than I ever did. I needed today.

Plus I'm 20 pounds down from what I was at surgery time. Smell me!

Thanks to all of you for welcoming me to the board and to being here. Always, a special shout out to Lisa B, my podmate at surgery and an Angel among us.

Lisa A.

YAHOOO Lisa! You go girl!

Sounds like you had a positively FANTASTIC day, and congrats on that 20 pound loss Keep working it! (And if your cleaning circuits really have been rewired, I have a kitchen here in Santa Monica that you can work on...the surgeons only managed to rewire my exercise circuits...hehe )

Hey Pod-Mate....congrats I am so glad you are feeling good. You must have transfered that to me - I feel great too. AND I lost 20.5 lbs too!

I still have trouble with the protein drinks - but starting to feel more normal.

WOW, can't believe you went on a KM walk....I wouldn't dream of going that far yet....hey nobody in there normal mind would walk outside today at my house - its minus 22 now and getting colder.

Take Care Lisa...keep up the great work and thanks for being there for me day to day!
