Thanks for the post Amanda. I'm scheduled for March 13th and it's great to hear what to expect. That's great that you are doing so good after surgery.

Thank you all for all of the wonderful wishes and quick recovery vibes! Honestly, I think this forum got me SO WELL prepared for what to expect during and after the surgery that it really helped for me to be released sooner than later. If I didn't already have the mantra of, "walk, sip, rest, repeat" stuck in my head, I don't think I would have bounced back quite as quickly.

The WOW moments are coming fast and furious! I can do 15 minutes at a time on the treadmill (up from 10 minutes at a time) and I've been getting in 40-45 minutes a day, total. I can *ahem* wipe without during a contortionist act, and my family thinks that I'm totally funny because I've become FASCINATED with cooking shows! I'm not hungry at ALL, but I'm so engrossed in how the shows are put together and how the food is prepared. In fact, I think I might try to get a job working for the Food Network!!

Every day is an incredible blessing of discovery; I've never been so excited to wake up in the morning and just enjoy every day. Like I told my mom last night, it's like being a baby again, only this time I'm old enough to appreciate each new experience!
