Default Hungry all the time

I don't know if this is just mental or it's my stomach, but it's been growling all day long and I just want to eat and eat, thank goodness every time I'm hungry I just drank water or ate fruit. Why am I feeling this?? is it maybe cuz I'm almost 6 months out and my pouch is much bigger, I can eat about 5 oz right now. is that size normal??? how to control the hunger that I have all the time.

I haven't been feeling physical hunger but I do also want to constantly stuff something in my face. Every time I get the urge I just drink!

Val what is your protein intake like now? Maybe you need to increase your protein intake. Do you have any new stressors in ur life? Well water is a good idea when you get that hungry feeling because sometimes that could be another reason for the hunger. I am six months almost 7, and my portions have increased and that is a scary feeling mainly since the honey moon is over. I hope you find a solution to help kick your hunger. Have you tried tea?

I get hungry 1 1/2 hours after eating.....almost like clockwork. I usually drink about 30 oz, which takes me 30-60 minutes, then wait the 1/2 hour. Also, I started eating breakfast whether I want to or not. It really did make me hungry more later in the day. I'm with you with the hunger......I feel it, and have since month 3. I just don't have to eat much to satisfy it.....which is awesome! Hang in there.....and make sure you are eating enough healthy stuff. Also, I put dry milk in tea, which I think helps a little.

it's thirst... in the pouch rules for dummies.. you need to water load. Go google that beautiful paper and follow it. If I have a day where I'm hungry all the time I eat, and in between I water load. It does take the hunger away.

Default My tummy...

growls all the time too. I don't eat much as it is, so when it growls I just tell it to shut up! LOL The worst part is when you're with other people and it starts making noise...you get so embarassed...

oh thanks all, looking at your posts I've realized there's many things that are causing the hunger, of course the fact that I am 6 months post op and the pouch is now bigger, also dehydration I gotta start getting my water in or I'll feel really bad and without energy, also the protein intake, I thought they were joking with the whole protein thing but I guess it is really important I was eating mainly fruits and veggies but seems like I need that protein !!! and have to increase it. And I have read the pouch rules and gonna start water loading since I'm six months out now.

The general rule is protein first, veggies seconds and fruits/carbs last

I understand the finicky tastes........how about yogurt with fruit, or smoothies with milk, yogurt, fruit etc.? That way you could get some protein and be fruity!
