How many times a day do you eat?
I am having doubts about the size of my pouch. I can eat a 6 oz. yogurt without a problem, and am rarely getting that "full" feeling I read so much about. I am 3 weeks out today, and down 19 lbs.
What/how much can you eat at each meal?
When do you feel full?
How many times a day do you eat?
What about eating some cheese between "meals"?
I am really totally unsure about how much I am supposed to eat. And pretty sure I am not getting in enough fluids. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I eat 3 maybe 4 times a day. I should be eating more, but it's because I'm getting my fluids in first that I tend to not eat as much. Plus I'm probably a rare case out there that still has food issues at almost 4 months out. I can eat 6oz of yogurt with a problem. I think the most I've eaten at one time was a cup of soup. Normally, I make something, and only finish half of it...if that.

Linda,
What are you eating? How much are you getting down at each sitting? How much have you lost?

I don't want to admit to my cheating..........I can snack all day if I want (I am doing my best not to)
For a meal.....
Breakfast....a low sugar, low carb yogurt or fruit
Lunch.....maybe a cup of chili or a small salad
Dinner.....a Lean Cuisine dinner
snack on low fat ice-cream, sugar free popcicles, I can eat Pringles (bad Linda) cheese, fruit, beef jerky
Honestly, if i wanted to, i could eat every two hours. Nothing seems to bother me. My problem is I MUST stop doing that because it is sabotaging my long term success.
I am 5 weeks out and lost 35 lbs. But I have stalled now.

See, I can't go longer than a couple of hours without getting hungry. I can't do breakfast at 7:30, lunch at 12 and dinner at 5pm. I wish I knew if I am doing right... thanks for the admission of your diet. Haha!

Michelle,
What phase diet are you in now? If you are still in the soft food stage it may be because the soft food passes threw your stomach faster. I'm still on liquids and I too feel hungry within an hour or so after I have my Bariatric protein product. Also are you drinking water with your meals? If you are it's best to wait about an hour after your meal before you have something to drink. The liquid tends to flush the food out of your stomach faster and then you will get hungry sooner. I've heard that once I start on a more solid diet I will probably not feel as hungry as I do now.
I'm only 1 1/2 weeks post op so I'll just have to wait awhile and see if that's the case.

Yogurt is a soft food and 6oz will go through your pouch really quick. When you eat more solid foods like steak or chicken you will feel more of a full feeling. I personally do not like to eat to that full feeling, the slightest pressure in my pouch and I stop. Here is what I eat and it has been the same for the past few months
8AM protein shake
11AM breakfast- egg with cheese or oatmeal
1PM lunch yogurt and 2 cheese sticks
4Pm snack protein bar
6PM dinner 2 oz meat, few bites of veggies or salad
9Pm SF jello with light whipped cream (this is my weakness lol)
75 OZ water and all my vitamins

Hey Laura...how many ounces is your protein shake? Do you drink it all at once, or does it take you awhile?

I eat 3 times a day sometimes 4, but not very often. I still have little appetite. I eat a lot of salads, soy crisps, cheese. my big weakness are cheese crackers with peanut butter, but I try to only have them once a week or split the pack and have 3 one day and 3 the next. Since my appetite has been so bad, I have resorted to drinking V8 and Juicy Juice to get calories in. I think I might manage 3 oz per meal, but sometimes it is less.
